In this key senior role, reporting to the Managing Partner and Quality/Compliance Manager, you will thrive on the challenge and fulfillment of this full-spectrum role:
Managing your own immigration practice/clients from taking initial enquiries, conversion of prospects to clients, and providing legal advice including: visa options, eligibility, application merits, drafting submissions, preparing and lodging visa applications, liaising with immigration authorities, responding to refusals, judicial reviews/appeals, and attending court/tribunal.Mentoring and training juniors if and when required.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Are a lawyer admitted in Victoria with a current UNRESTRICTED practising certificate (essential);Have MINIMUM 4+ years post-admission (or more up to senior associate/special counsel) in immigration law specifically with experience with partner visas (essential) and protection visas (preferable but not essential);Have proven ability to highly autonomously manage your own cases from initial client enquiry to visa approval/grant in a busy fast-paced deadline-driven environment;Are results-driven, empathetic, and passionate about human rights and making a positive impact on real people's lives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
