Randstad Defence is proud to support key clients in the Australian Defence Industry. On behalf of our Defence client, we are seeking an experienced ILS Technical Writer to be an integral part of the team based in Canberra.
Under the direction of the ILS Manager, you will research, develop and provide publication-authoring services to the ILS Team. You will produce and maintain technical documentation artefacts including ILS Plans and Work Instructions through to endorsement.
The services to be provided will be commensurate with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence's requirements.
Candidates must be Australian Citizens and must have a NV1 Security Clearance.
As ILS Technical Writer you will:
Plan, develop, organise, write and edit standard operating procedures and manuals; Research, develop and write technical design specifications; Research, develop and write technical manuals; Develop written or visual product/process/technical documentation, business process maps, and user manuals; Quality assurance of documents to maintain continuity of style of content; Write complex technical subject matter for a range of stakeholders, including non-technical or executive staff; Develop and update Engineering and ILS documentation, including a range of technical management strategies and plans, logistic plans and instructions; Manage updates and revisions to technical documents, procedures and manuals; Other future scoped work as directed. About You:
NV1 Security Clearance; A qualified practitioner with relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry experience; Qualifications in Program Management and/or Project Management (Agile, PMBOK, PRINCE2); Certified SAFe Practitioner (can be completed upon engagement); Demonstrated experience writing in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences; Experience in the application and management of Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activities, with knowledge of the links between ILS, LSA and Test and Evaluation/Verification and Validation (T&E/V&V); Ability to develop and update Engineering and ILS documentation, including a range of technical management strategies and plans, logistic plans and instructions.
