• As we operate 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts (ranging from 7:00am to 9:30pm).
You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
• If you are progressed, you will be invited to attend a Group Assessment Centre in November.
About this work area As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Kitchen Production Co-worker - Operations (Permanent Part-time, 40hrs/fortnight): • Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with food standards by keeping it clean and organised.
• Food preparation and cooking with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
• Inspecting food items for quality freshness • Take corrective actions to ensure consistency when cooking food.
• Prioritising strict cooking timelines and multi-tasking under pressure during rush hours.
• Cooking and heating food in ovens & fryers.
As an IKEA Food Co-worker you are: • Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
• Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment.
Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
• Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people.
• Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
