The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager IT Security, Risk and Governance, the Identity and Access Management (IAM) lead is responsible for the continual monitoring, assessment and improvement of our IAM systems and practices, including persona definitions, identity data flows, authentication and authorisation technology.
The IAM lead drives improvements to both security posture, and user experience, to support business productivity and ease of use.
Key Responsibilities Provide thought leadership for IAM concepts and oversight of administration activities Identify and drive IAM process improvements Act as subject matter expert and point of contact for IAM matters Lead internal reviews of IAM practices for standards compliance and good practice Ensure IAM administrative processes are performed efficiently and effectively, including provisioning, transfer and termination functions Develop and maintain role and attribute based access models Identify, develop and implement appropriate segregation of duty controls across key technology systems Work with system & application owners for resolution of identity and access related issues Drive operational efficiencies and improve the user experience Collaborate with departments to improve IAM standard compliance, manage risk and bolster effectiveness What is Required Relevant tertiary degree or certification in IAM, cybersecurity, or significant experience in a similar role Extensive experience working on IAM systems, ideally including Microsoft and Okta Experience designing and optimising identity systems, processes and integrations with people and service management solutions Experience designing and implementing role and attribute-based access management systems Experience working with modern and legacy authentication and authorisation protocols, including Open ID Connect, OAuth, SAML, Kerberos and LDAP Demonstrate a strong understanding of data modelling and information architecture concepts Demonstrate a strong understanding of integration concepts, including event driven architecture and APIs Experience tuning identity and access management systems for usability improvements, including conditional access policies and multi-factor authentication Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity risk concepts and how identity and access management fits into managing this Strong understanding of complex systems and data structures The ability switch between chasing quick wins and delivering long term strategic improvements Risk Based Prioritisation – understand the difference between "crown jewel" information and technology assets and everything else, and tune protections accordingly Take on the user's perspective and tune our IAM systems to provide the best experience possible Understanding of data structures, relationships and how to design data flows to improve data quality About Mineral Resources Min Res is a leading diversified resources company with extensive operations in lithium, iron ore, energy and mining services across Western Australia.
