ID-LB Cabling Infrastructure Tech, BOM - Infra Delivery TechsAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We at Amazon Data Services India Private Limited ('ADSIPL'), are looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class cabling infrastructure engineer to join our growing team within its infrastructure operations. The candidate will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to develop innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand.
Key job responsibilitiesAdhere to security and safety best practices in the data center.Installation and testing of copper and Fiber Optic cabling.Creating/attaching labels and barcodes.Understanding of test equipment (power meter / light source, OTDR, VFL, network analyser, copper / fiber cabling test equipment).Basic build and troubleshooting of network devices.Managing inventory of related materials by checking and coordinating all materials to be delivered to site daily.Adhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures.Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions.Regularly work at heights and from ladders.Experience with a ticketing system.Ability to travel within geographical work area is required. Occasional work in tight and/or narrow spaces, such as under raised floors.You will ideally have:1-2 years of project management experience or operations planning experience.1-2 years' experience with physical network infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting.1-2 years' experience with network cabling (fiber optic & copper).Basic knowledge of computer hardware and network cabling.Able to work at heights or use ladders for continued periods.Substantial background in large scale datacentre network implementations and support.Knowledge of Copper and Fiber Optic testing methodologies.Ability to read basic layout drawings and floorplans.Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CITY & GUILDS Cabling cert or equivalent).Previous experience working in a Data Center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management).About the teamDiverse Experiences

Minimum RequirementsHigh school or equivalent diploma.Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies.
