The Role Intensive care Registrar positions offering 6 to 12 months accredited training positions for College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) registrars as well as Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM), ACCRM and ANZCA trainees. This unique location offers exposure to tropical medicine and Aboriginal Health Key duties and responsibilities Provide care and advice for the management of ICU patients, including admitting, managing and discharging patients under the supervision of the ICU consultant.
Conduct regular inpatient ward rounds incorporating teaching to a multi-disciplinary team and provide an opinion/advice to referring medical practitioners if requested.

The Facility An annual admission rate of 1250 patients (adult and paediatric) Accredited for 12 months of CICM training with accreditation towards rural, paediatrics, trauma and neurosurgery requirements.
The ICU offers an established teaching program, including echocardiography, as well as support for both the CICM part 1 and part 2 examinations.
The Requirements AHPRA Registration Experience level: for registrar role: PGY 4 or above with experience in a critical care department For senior registrars you must be a member of a critical care training pathway (CICM, ANZCA, ACEM) and expected to complete training within 2 years An interest in and a commitment to improving Indigenous health.
