About the role As a Senior ICT Systems Engineer, you will provide IT technical support for Daifuku customer sites and other as needed by the Daifuku Customer Care team. This role primarily focuses on database and network administration, combined with broader infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable skills and senior level experience in database administration, including managing, troubleshooting, optimizing solutions, and providing comprehensive support. Given the nature of the Customer Care operations, there will be a requirement to assist with IT related calls that occur outside of standard business hours or to cover for team members if necessary. Responsibilities Working as part of our Customer Care Team, your key functions include, but are not limited to: Support of HLC / IT associated solutions installed by project delivery teams. DBA and Network administration. Project planning knowledge at a technical detail level, including project-based Customer Care requirements and new site handover to Customer Care. Involvement in system solutions design and review. Product knowledge training and certification. Provision of technical expertise to support staff. Manage and troubleshoot events for customer software infrastructure. Look after customer database servers and database solutions. Deploy new or modify existing IT infrastructure for customers. Provide OS level and database patching services for client systems. Monitoring of various hardware and software system life cycles. Disaster recovery planning and execute system backups (i.e., SQL backups, VM backups, configuration files). Providing support for internal Daifuku software products including but not limited to Airflow and Freightflow. About you To be successful in this role you will need: A minimum of 5+ years of DBA and IT experience at the enterprise level. Proven expertise in database administration, specifically with MSSQL and Oracle. Prior experience in high-availability or service provider environments. Extensive experience in delivering remote incident support and managing problem resolution.
