We have an exciting opportunity that has been exclusively released to Omni on behalf of one of our clients.
The Commonwealth is delivering a major ICT capability development project that is in the acquisition phase of delivery.
The project is scoped to deliver the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Information Environment (ISR IE) to enable the integration of multiple dependent Australian Defence Force (ADF) ISR related projects.
We are seeking submissions from suitable candidates for the following roles: Systems Engineer - (DESN 5) Assist in planning, design development and configuration tasks; Provide assurance activities to ensure technical artefacts are meeting the engineering needs; Assist in the development of key engineering documents; Plan and prepare to implement engineering assurance reviews; Design data models, and diagrams; Plan and prepare to conduct diagnostic procedures to identify system vulnerabilities and improvements; Support, plan and conduct test and evaluation activities for deliverable systems and products; Provide support to the Technical Leadership; Other tasking/activities as reasonably required/directed by Commonwealth PoC.
Systems Administrator – (SINT 5) Develop and operate an integrated RHEL server platform including RHEL IdM and Satellite; Design, test and deploy new versions of the RHEL operating system, build and maintain system images and provide integration for VMware; Integrate and support management and security software and configurations; Provide server automation; Integrate with MFA solutions; Implement regular checks to confirm system status, including hardware and software; Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for virtualised RHEL systems; Troubleshoot and resolve RHEL issues; Manage server migration when required; Demonstrated experience working on RHEL server platforms; Provide support to the Technical Leadership; Other tasking/activities as reasonably required/directed by Commonwealth PoC.
Network Engineer – (NTDS 5) Lead the design, build, test and operation of networks services in a multi-vendor environment; Conduct requirement traceability and prioritisation activities, and determine the feasibility of individual requirements in order to support the design of elements of the system; Plan the configuration, implementation, automation and testing of an enterprise gateway environment, adhering to security policy and compliance; Provide assistance in the development, support and management of monitoring systems for networks; Implement, configure, and maintain (including leading change activities), of switches, routers and firewalls in a multi-vendor environment; Experience in the operation and management of a gateway environment; Experience automating networks through Infrastructure as Code; Provide support to the Technical Leadership; Other tasking/activities as reasonably required/directed by Commonwealth PoC.
Test Manager – (TEST 5) Develop plans and procedures in the verification of ICT infrastructure (physical and virtual) solutions; Execute testing processes and activities in the verification of solutions against relevant standards; Manage and track testing of non-functional requirements (load, performance, reliability, and compliance); Develop reports and acceptance documentation; Provide support to the Technical Leadership; Other tasking/activities as reasonably required/directed by Commonwealth PoC.
VMware Engineer – (SINT 5) Develop and operate a VMware virtualisation platform using VMware cloud foundations (VCF); Develop and operate hardware and software for VCF; Design, test and deploy new versions of VMware software; Implement regular checks to confirm system status, including hardware and software; Provide guidance to other technical team members on developing and operating virtual machines in VCF; Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for VCF; Manage performance of the virtual infrastructure and implement improvements to maintain required performance levels; Provide automation through VMware services; Experience in designing and implementing NSX in a Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC); Provide support to the Technical Leadership; Other tasking/activities as reasonably required/directed by Commonwealth PoC.
Red Hat Linux (RHEL) Engineer – (SINT 5) Develop and operate an integrated RHEL server platform including RHEL IdM and Satellite; Design, test and deploy new versions of the RHEL operating system, build and maintain system images and provide integration for VMware; Integrate and support management and security software and configurations; Provide server automation; Integrate with MFA solutions; Implement regular checks to confirm system status, including hardware and software; Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for virtualised RHEL systems; Troubleshoot and resolve RHEL issues; Manage server migration when required; Demonstrated experience working on RHEL server platforms; Provide support to the Technical Leadership; Other tasking/activities as reasonably required/directed by Commonwealth PoC.
Storage Engineer – (STMG 5) Produce designs, design patterns, configurations, and documentation in accordance with industry standards for storage and backup systems; Perform maintenance, monitoring, and administration functions for Storage Area Network (SAN) and backup systems; Implement SAN infrastructure/architecture (Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (FC HBAs), Fabrics, SAN's etc) and Cisco Multilayer Director Switch (MDS) SAN switches; Perform maintenance and administration of VMware virtual SAN; Provide support to the Technical Leadership; Other tasking/activities as reasonably required/directed by Commonwealth PoC.
Systems Architect – (DESN 5) Generate a high level system requirement based on guidance from the Commonwealth PoC; Based on a 'System of Systems' engineering process, breakdown large key system elements into individual components or subsystems; Develop system specifications for the subsystem elements; Analyse and design component interactions and interfaces; Work with client teams to define the technology and resources that will be used in the design and implementation of complex ICT solutions; Interface with the design and engineering team to ensure technical issues are resolved during system development; Plan and develop a detailed review and testing process; Generate system models, diagrams, user guide and prototypes; Provide support to the Technical Leadership; Other tasking/activities as reasonably required/directed by Commonwealth PoC.
