About the role: As Senior DevOps Engineer, you have the crucial role of leading the build and maintenance of applications for our first responders to:
manage critical incidents and state-wide events (including natural disasters) support proactive policing in the community assist specialist units tackling issues such as youth offending, road safety, and cybercrime what you and your team create will transform modern frontline policing You will be part of a supportive and progressive team that supports and enables career development Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements Work in a complex, dynamic, challenging digital environment, delivering technology solutions to keep your community safe Your duties will include: Lead the build, test, and deployment of software applications to meet business needs, aligned to product roadmaps Work with domain and solution architects to research technical solutions to business problems Provide clear and concise specialist advice to relevant stakeholders Collaborate with product specialists and business subject matter experts to effectively translate documented business requirements into fit-for-purpose technical solutions As the successful applicant, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Information and Communications Technology or directly related discipline Significant hands-on experience in software engineering, within an agile delivery environment Demonstrated experience effectively engaging, managing, and working with senior stakeholders At least 3 years' experience in a selection of the following technologies: Power Platform (or D365 experience) Power Apps – both Model Driven and Canvas Power Apps component framework (PCF) Power Automate Power BI Dataverse JavaScript PowerApps Plugins Other Skills C# .NET SQL Skills (Microsoft) Azure DevOps GitHub CI/CD scripting for the Power Platform Requirements and relevant information: This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen. The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
