Teachers Registration Board Job reference: 629061 Location: 5000 - ADELAIDE Job status: Long Term Contract Eligibility: Open to Everyone About the Teachers Registration Board: The Teachers Registration Board (the TRB) is established under the Teachers Registration and Standards Act 2004 (the Act) and the Teachers Registration and Standards Regulations 2021 to regulate the teaching profession.
The object of the Act is, in the public interest, to maintain a teacher registration system and professional standards for teachers to ensure its members are competent, fit and proper to have the care of children.
The TRB is an independent statutory authority, with a dynamic, integrated operating environment of staff less than 32 persons, with flexible leadership and a practical focus on day-to-day implementation, where advancing teacher suitability requires both a cross-agency and team approach between TRB groups.
The TRB employs its own staff and is a public sector agency under the Public Sector Act 2009.
The TRB has entered into an Administrative Agreement with the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment (the Commissioner) and complies with the Commissioner's Determinations, Guidelines and the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector.

Role Description The ICT Security Analyst is accountable to the Head of ICT for the protection of all TRB data and information and the provision of information security advice, expertise and delivery of activities related to ICT security operations, projects and compliance for all security aspects of TRB's systems.
This role is offered at full time, at the ASO6 Level and for a long-term contract of 2 years - located in the heart of the Adelaide CBD.
Role Summary The ICT Security Analyst is accountable to the Head of ICT for: The provision of a lead role for infrastructure and cyber security.
The technical implementation of the recommendations of the TRB Cyber Security Assessment which involves contributing to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of information security policies, procedures, processes and security tools required to comply with the South Australian Cyber Security Framework (SACSF).
The provision of professional ICT security-related advice and support across the TRB and management of security operations and system events and their reporting.
Selection Criteria Qualifications An appropriate degree level qualification in Information Technology Security or other relevant industry specific, or equivalent substantial industry experience.
Personal Abilities Highly developed interpersonal skills, including a high degree of personal integrity and credibility with proven ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with a wide range of people from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Possess excellent administrative and organisational skills and an approach to work which emphasises accuracy and thoroughness including the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment, contribute to a culture of teamwork and shared responsibility for achieving results.
Ability to analyse problems, formulate and implement appropriate and practical solutions.
Experience (Including Community Experience) Demonstrated experience within information technology environment, particularly with respect to the application of information security principles to protect information assets in complex technical environments.
Proven experience in contributing to the continual improvement of work procedures, policies and practices to meet the business security goals of an organisation.
Experience with vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, cyber security threats, breaches, events and corresponding incident management.
Demonstrated experience in the establishment, review and continuous improvement of security controls.
Knowledge Demonstrated knowledge and experience of ICT and digital architecture with reference to cyber security, including: Active Directory (AD) Entra ID and other open systems Network management and monitoring systems Identity and Access Management (IAM) Security based appliances and infrastructure Data security and encryption Cloud services Demonstrated knowledge of current ICT security technical controls and solutions through the application of risk management techniques to design, deploy and operate ICT services to deliver practical business solutions.
Knowledge of the South Australian Cyber Security Framework (SACSF), Protective Security Management Framework (PSMF), ISO27001 and ISO31000 standards in information security governance, risk management, compliance and information security management systems.
Continuous Improvement and Organisational Safety Seek opportunities to improve organisational processes by contributing to improvement initiatives, fostering good customer service, and participating in professional development opportunities.
