Our Client, a large Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced
ICT Project Manager
with knowledge and experience in the implementation of
Supply Chain and Inventory Management . Flexible working from home will be permitted.
The Project Manager will have functions across:
Business lead for the implementation of NMS Supply Chain management systems for future management of the stockpile;
Setting the business direction and supporting the team members in delivering successful outcomes;
Development and oversight of key stakeholder engagements within Information Technology, business areas and logistics partners;
Leading collaboration and adherence to frameworks required to deliver successful projects;
Formalising project structure, resources, governance and stakeholder engagement plan(s);
Manage the development of the required artifacts for the project in line with department's governance and assurance frameworks;
Engage and collaborate with business stakeholders, partners, and suppliers as required to deliver a well-defined and understood solution;
Identify and manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans, assignment of owners, mitigation and due dates, undertake regular risk reviews and report current high risks to the Program Board as they are identified via highlight report;
Take responsibility for project progress and use of resources and initiate corrective action where necessary, foreshadowing upcoming resource needs and actioning engagement well ahead of start dates;
Lead and mentor the project assigned resources and associated budgets;
Keep project information updated in the Departments project management tool (Altus);
Engages appropriate executives and subject matter experts on project matters.
To be deemed suitable for this opportunity, you will meet most of these points:
5 years project delivery experience, Project/Program certifications will be highly desirable;
Knowledge and experience in implementation of Supply chain and Inventory management solutions would be highly desirable;
Cloud Computing knowledge, understanding cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud) and their services is crucial;
Demonstrated experience with successful planning and delivery of major IT enabled projects for large organisations in a senior project management role;
Experience supporting program management and program delivery, in addition to project management;
Experience supporting the delivery of multi-year complex reform initiatives operating in large, complex environments;
Highly developed analytical, problem solving and oral and written communication abilities including experience with producing project and ICT systems documentation;
The ability to deal with significant and contentious issues, negotiate and liaise with stakeholders and an understanding of Health Business context, priorities, drivers and desired outcomes;
Demonstrated ability to lead a team of staff from a variety of technical backgrounds.
