About the Company Davidson Technology are currently partnering with a large state government organisation for a water distribution utility owned by five shareholding councils.We are seeking experienced ICT Procurement Portfolio Lead for a 6-month contract with potential to extend, their office based in Fortitude Valley with hybrid working arrangements.About the Role In your new role, you will be providing leadership support the category management team to deliver strategic and commercial procurement and supply chain outcomes for the assigned portfolio(s),Provide key account leadership to develop partnerships with enterprise stakeholders.This includes the technical leadership support of a small team of category specialists to develop and deliver category-specific procurement activities.Your key responsibilities will include: Lead, develop, implement and manage a major portfolio of category plans in line with the organisations' business strategy including the realisation of synergies, cost savings and risk-reduction, and/or optimisation of the portfolio to delivery best for business outcomes Identify contract requirements and write specifications for a large portfolio or area of the business for existing contracts and/or new contracts.Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of major suppliers to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier.Contribute to the formation of a key element of the procurement strategy through specialist expertise and insights, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs.Support the implementation of a formal development framework for the procurement team, with guidance from senior colleagues.Support the leadership of the procurement team in developing and implementing category plans to support business objectives.About You Previous experience working in ICT Procurement in large complex organisations.University (First degree) in procurement, business or related discipline Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive experience in the development and implementation of category plans and complex contractual arrangements for corporate and site operations, construction as well as goods and or services type arrangements.Experience of planning, managing and supervising resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework.The Benefits This opportunity offers you a 6-month contract with potential to extend at daily rate + Superannuation (negotiable upon experience).The client offers flexible working conditions split between work from home and their Fortitude Valley based office.Next Steps
