The ICT Manager is responsible for the daily operational support, administration and management of the College's ICT landscape.
The Manager will oversee an agile ICT team that serves the holistic needs of the College.
As a member of the Management team the ICT Manager provides strategic and operational advice to help ensure the smooth operations of the College.
Responsibilities include: Deliver effective ICT service and support to all members of the College community and visitors.
Manage all aspects of ICT infrastructure including hardware, software, networks, data storage and ICT facilities.
Maintain oversight of the cyber security posture and ensure risks are proactively identified and mitigated.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of IT contracts and licences.
Lead staff training to ensure ongoing uptake of digital tools Oversee ICT budget and monitor financial performance in collaboration with the director of Finance.
Provide technical expertise and leadership when planning and/or delivering ICT projects.
Develop and maintain system recovery plans, including backup processes and emergency response plans, in the event of a cyber attack or total loss of essential infrastructure.
Collaborate with other College leaders when implementing the annual ICT operational plan and formulating the ICT strategic plan.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the ICT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
Key requirements: Demonstrated management of a productive and effective team (ideally 5+ years) Proven ability to deliver high quality ICT service and management (Education experience advantageous) Experience in planning, managing and prioritising ICT duties, projects and budgets Excellent knowledge of cyber security best practice Project management skills with a track record of successful implementation of ICT projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Hold a current WWCC, or be willing to obtain.
