The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and is seeking experienced and motivated Delivery Managers to assist with major ICT Projects in the Division.
The Delivery Manager role will be focused on Network and Infrastructure teams and will be responsible for: Engagement with internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on providing excellent customer service, managing expectations, and delivering outcomes.
Partnering with business areas across the department to deliver high-quality digital services and develop strategic future-focused product and hardware roadmaps.
Researching, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating project or program initiatives.
This may include the development of work plans to support strategic direction.
Managing and leading a diverse team, including providing clear and consistent communication, building capability in your team, monitoring work progress, and proactively resolving issues for smooth execution.
Mentoring and coaching project team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Identifying issues/problems and working to resolve them.
Overseeing the activities of the project, managing and allocating resources to ensure a high-performing, well-motivated, and developed team that delivers results.
Prioritizing effectively to ensure deliverables and outcomes are achieved.
Implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize ICT operations and project delivery processes, including maintaining expertise in relevant areas to guide activities effectively.
Providing advice to senior executives in your area of expertise.
Managing priorities and developing high-level written materials.
Requirements Essential criteria Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional agile project teams delivering critical and complex programs of work.
Highly developed communication and negotiation skills to ensure the appropriate level of communication, coordination, and collaboration of stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, which may include business partners, cross-agency collaborations, and service providers.
Familiarity with and application of project management frameworks/methodologies such as Agile and Hybrid Agile.
Proven ability to represent the team and branch in project governance meetings and provide clear up-to-date reports on status and the implications of risks on projects to ensure the success of projects.
