About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Computer Network and Systems Engineer (2 positions open) to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring security protocols, and supporting IT operations to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: Research new technologies, install, configure, monitor, and maintain computer networks, hardware, software, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance. Manage and maintain systems and network infrastructure by closely monitoring. Recommending improvements to complex systems including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, complex software systems, physical and virtual servers. Assessing and recommending improvements on client's IT Network environments (optimising networks, system upgrades, rack tidy ups etc.) Work closely with IT development and engineering teams to report and escalate complex issues, provide feedback, and possible improvements. Implement and maintain network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based systems. Monitor system performance, identify potential risks, implement necessary security measures, and update them by installing and testing. Conduct regular data backups and implement disaster recovery plans. Experience with; Virtualization (VMware), Windows Sever and Active Directory, Exchange Server, Databases (SQL Server, Oracle), Remote Desktop Services, IIS (Certificate management, Websites), SIP Phone Systems, Networking (Routing, DNS, DHCP), Installation and configuration of IT Server hardware, Scripting PowerShell, Linux \ UNIX based servers, Monitoring services and Products. Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server & Desktop Technologies & Cloud Environments. Manage and maintain internal systems, including servers, storage, and networking infrastructure (e.g. Dell, HP, Cisco). Qualification & Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the role. Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, and DNS. Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and access control lists. Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark and Nagios. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
