The main purpose of the ICT Business Analyst (Financial Engineer) role is to coordinate LCH and JSCC interest rate compression cycles and act as a link between client outcomes and internal developers to reach optimum solutions in a timely manner. The individual should also lead the clients from initial testing to regular compression participants by analyzing business needs to design and modify client systems.This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $95,000 + Superannuation.ResponsibilitiesLead the elicitation, definition, prioritisation and validation of requirements and design of business processes to meet the needs of the client.Continuously liaise with business users to fully understand and close out any ambiguous requirements, while defining and driving As Is and To Be processes.Perform extensive Gap Analysis using data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software.Manage the development of Business Process Specifications and System Functional and Non-Functional Specifications.Review and revise documentation in light of any new or changing information including implications.Ensure that risks, project and operational, are managed in accordance with set risk framework.Understand and adhere to the enterprise methodologies and processes in relation to project delivery. Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour.Identify dependencies and document functional, non-functional, data and user interface requirements in Business Requirements Document (BRD), and Systems Requirements Specifications (SRS) documents.Responsible for deploying functional solutions, such as creating, adopting, and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system.Creation and maintaining of test data and scripts for future reuse and regression testing. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) against test cases and acceptance criteria and actively participate in and facilitate testing of the system during Smoke testing, Black Box testing, and Regression Testing. Verify that the functionality under the test matches the expected result from the test-scripts.Liaise with Developers on a regular basis about issues found during testing, attend regular meetings where potential solutions to defects are proposed and discussed. Liaise with Calypso development team for system enhancements and hot fixes.Develop project plans using project management methodologies, principles, and techniques to cost, resource and manage projects.Perform BA Peer Review Tasks and Test Case Review to complete user stories. Organise and facilitate team Demonstrations prior to go live or Retrospectives after each sprint.Create user and training documentation and conduct formal training classes. Set up new users, groups, permissions, user defaults and properties in Calypso. Configure new reports from Calypso to downstream systems and corresponding control-m config.Design new solution for MTM posting process for FX Swaps with multiple trades under one deal, through new accounting config in Calypso. Resolving a long-standing Juno issue of accounting gross up.RequirementsAt least a Bachelor degree level.2-3 years working in a high-performance computing environment in the capital markets or investment banking industry to include appreciation of a range of asset classes.Acquired knowledge of the Calypso application.Must have practical experience with UNIX, R, SAP, Oracle, VBA, AWS, APIs, REST and SOAP.Experience with SQL (Database).Exceptional mathematical, engineering and/or technical abilities.Previous Clearing House Experience is preferable.Skills in designing, developing, testing, implementing software.Leadership & training skills.Enthusiastic & co-operative.Effective negotiation, communication, and time management skills.Lateral thinking ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems and to conceptualise and think creatively.
