Higher Education Officer Level 5 | $80,405 - $88,737 p.a. (Exclusive of 17% Super)
Location: Darwin Casuarina Campus / Larrakia Country View Position Description About the Role Rural and Remote Health (RRH) in the Northern Territory is fast growing and are looking for an ICT Audio Visual Officer to join the team. This position will work to support and deliver ICT related services, working closely with the Flinders Information and Digital Services (IDS) team to support the objectives of RRH.
The incumbent will be based in Darwin but required to travel to other RRH campuses, therefore a current NT Driver's License is required for this position.
About You To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Diploma in Information and Communications Technology or a related field, combined with at least two years relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or training, and/or hands-on experience in current ICT practices and technologies.
General experience and knowledge with the following: Audio Visual/ICT, Windows, Linux, Mac, Cloud-based solutions, cyber security, mobile devices.
Ability to analyse issues, problem-solve effectively, identify priorities and exercise informed judgement whilst working independently and under pressure, often remotely via telephone and remote desktop tools.
An understanding of applicable Work Health and Safety requirements and ability to lift and move heavy equipment in accordance with WH&S Manual Handling Guidelines.
Effective interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication skills.

About Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory. We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health.
Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program) provide workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. Prescribed Conditions for Employment A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
Northern Territory Government legislation (the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007) now requires all individuals in child related employment or whose duties involve, or are likely to involve, contact with a child, to hold a valid 'Working with Children Clearance' (Ochre Card). This position involves child related work and is assessed as requiring a Working with Children Clearance/Ochre Card.
Staff working in a health care setting are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID in line with the NT Health policy.
A current NT Driver's License is required for this position.
