About the Role Centacare has created an exciting new position for an experienced ICT professional to bring their energy and passion for overseeing Applications to our IT Business Services team. This new role will play a pivotal leadership part in providing both functional and technical support for Centacare's clinical and corporate applications.
You will be working in close collaboration with our ICT Operations Manager and leadership team in the design of a strategic roadmap aligned to the overall objectives for our organisation's long term ICT vision. Your day-to-day activities will involve overseeing the implementation of applications supporting key strategic and business improvement projects, ensuring proactive maintenance, supporting the integration of new businesses and services, and collaborating on innovation initiatives that enhance organisational performance and success.
Other Responsibilities include: Application Portfolio Management: Develop and oversee the application portfolio, define requirements, and design integrations between applications. Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and develop the ICT applications team, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and professional development. Software Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the complete lifecycle of software assets from acquisition to retirement. Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for application and data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance. Proactive Strategy and Innovation: Support ICT strategy, assess emerging technology trends, and drive innovation to enhance staff and client experiences. About You Ideally, you will be in the early stages of your ICT career, working in applications development, configuration and implementation, with 3+ years experience leading small teams of developers and/or analysts, or you are a seasoned ICT application manager with extensive corporate experience seeking to work at a more sustainable pace for an organisation that aligns with your sense of community service and purpose.
In addition to your technical proficiency, you bring valuable experience working collaboratively with different business units to achieve organisational goals. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to establish rapport easily, positioning you to effectively lead a team of professionals and successfully integrate our service philosophy.
Other Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership in applications development, management, and delivery. Strong expertise in industry best practices for application development and maintenance. Proven skills in planning, resource management, budgeting, and financial oversight. Experience integrating clinical/client care applications with business needs in complex environments. Successful track record in project management across organisations. Positive collaboration with vendors for designing, configuring, testing, and delivering application solutions. Tertiary qualification in ICT or Applications Management; ITIL Intermediate or Project Management certifications (Preferred). Experience in community services or not-for-profit sectors, with non-government management experience (Preferred). Familiarity with CRM, Case Management, HR Management, Financial Management, and Data Reporting systems (Preferred).
