This opportunity will suit a motivated professional, preferably with route or food service industry experience.
Key Responsibilities Actively sell and promote a variety of ice-cream products to customers from a refrigerated vehicle Maintain Weekly/Monthly route cycle to ensure customer expectations are met Secure new business with customers while maintaining existing orders Actively utilize Key Selling Programs to build sales in existing and new customers Identify and pursue potential areas for growth Advise customers of the total Peters product range and supply/price trends Identify and manage low yield customers into a more profitable trading relationship Merchandise and maintain high standards of presentation and compliance Maintain integrity of inventory in all stock locations Undertake storework duties in a temperature controlled environment – receive, pick, replenish, un-load/load delivery vehicles Ensure stock rotation principles are followed (first in, first out principle) Participate in cycle counting and stock-takes Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications Current Truck Licence required Proficiency in learning a product range quickly Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Food Service industry or route trade Superior selling and negotiating ability Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment Good organizational and time management skills High attention to detail Strong understanding of HACCP, OH&S regulations and manual handling processes Solid computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Outlook) Self-motivated and ambitious What PFD is Offering the Successful Candidate We are offering competitive remuneration, superannuation and other staff benefits (such as discounts on staff purchases, discounted accommodation, health insurance and banking).
