This opportunity will suit a motivated professional, preferably with route or food service industry experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesActively sell and promote a variety of ice-cream products to customers from a refrigerated vehicleMaintain Weekly/Monthly route cycle to ensure customer expectations are metSecure new business with customers while maintaining existing ordersActively utilize Key Selling Programs to build sales in existing and new customersIdentify and pursue potential areas for growthAdvise customers of the total Peters product range and supply/price trendsIdentify and manage low yield customers into a more profitable trading relationshipMerchandise and maintain high standards of presentation and complianceMaintain integrity of inventory in all stock locationsUndertake storework duties in a temperature controlled environment – receive, pick, replenish, un-load/load delivery vehiclesEnsure stock rotation principles are followed (first in, first out principle)Participate in cycle counting and stock-takesKey Competencies, Skills and QualificationsCurrent Truck Licence requiredProficiency in learning a product range quicklyExtensive knowledge and understanding of the Food Service industry or route tradeSuperior selling and negotiating abilityExperience in developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customersStrong relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environmentGood organizational and time management skillsHigh attention to detailStrong understanding of HACCP, OH&S regulations and manual handling processesSolid computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Outlook)Self-motivated and ambitiousWhat PFD is Offering the Successful CandidateWe are offering competitive remuneration, superannuation and other staff benefits (such as discounts on staff purchases, discounted accommodation, health insurance and banking).
