The Role:
In this Hydraulic Technician role, you would be working with heavy machinery and manufacturing operations such as Smelters, Timber Processing, Marine, Ports, and Mobile Equipment, to install, repair, and replace hydraulic hosing, pumps, cylinders, valves, and tubing, to ensure your clients have little to no 'down-time'. This role will suit someone that has hydraulics and mechanical skills who wishes to work both inside and outside of the workshop. Working with customers from varied industries means that few days would be the same.
Conduct audits of machinery to ensure hydraulics are operating correctly and in a safe condition.
Design and plumb up new hydraulic systems.
Utilize your problem-solving skills to pinpoint and resolve issues for customers as they arise.
Follow an on-call roster and be paid to be on call.
You'd be based from the Laverton Office and Workshop, covering an area including Portland and the surrounding area.
The Package:
$40 - $43 per hour + Overtime + RDOs
Payment for being on-call and additional payment on top for being called out - along with overtime hourly rates
Company van and mobile phone provided
RTA training for the role provided
The Candidate:
Prior experience with hydraulic systems is essential - a relevant Hydraulic Trade Certificate would be advantageous.
Mechanically minded with great problem-solving or fault-finding ability.
Background with Motor Mechanics, Diesel Fitting, Fitting & Turning, or similar discipline.
