The opportunity:
Due to continued growth, our Fremantle office is looking for a Junior Hydraulic Design Draftsperson to commence their career with ACOR Consultants. This role will provide you with ongoing support, training, mentorship, and guidance by our senior engineers and the wider team. We will invest in the successful individual to develop and grow with us and to become a subject matter expert in your field of expertise. Duties & Responsibilities: Work alongside a professional team of Engineers to acquire detailed technical knowledge and the necessary skills to become competent in the use of Autodesk Revit building documentation software. Take responsibility to achieve formal and informal learning to deliver all aspects of hydraulic services drafting in building engineering (Hydraulic & Fire Services), working with professional senior engineers. Be responsible for the production of a wide range of hydraulic services drawings & layouts for projects in the residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors. Learn and develop skills and knowledge in other building services engineering to work towards becoming a subject matter expert (BIM), to deliver professional engineering services across multiple projects. Required skills & Experience: Enrolled, completing, or have completed a relevant TAFE course qualification in residential drafting or a similar course for drafting. Possess a sound knowledge of general building construction; ideally, previous experience in a plumbing trade would be advantageous. Hardworking, initiative-taking, with the ability to learn and develop new skills within a busy and vibrant work environment. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. High level of organisational, coordination, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills. Initiative, proactive work ethic, able to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously.
