About the business and the Role:
ProReman is a long established and growing business. The company is a part of the Parts & Services division of Epiroc, a leading productivity partner for the mining, infrastructure, and natural resources industries. 
We are seeking a professional individual who will support a diversity of activities from all areas relating to overhauling of surface and underground hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, final drives, rotary heads and accumulators. This is a technical role involving precision work, an eye for detail, mechanical aptitude and care and diligence. The role is suited to an applicant who is detail and task focused, can multitask and thrives in a busy work environment.
To be successful you will be self-motivated and have an eye for detail. We also believe you are passionate, organized, pro-active and collaborative in your approach. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role in a transforming organization.
Essential Position Requirements:
To be considered for this role you will possess these key skills and experience:
• Solid knowledge in hydraulic function
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings
• Ability to rebuild and modify mechanical components including intricate parts
• Understanding of mechanical operations
• Machining skills including operation of lathe and mill plus fabrication skills
• Computer literacy in word, outlook, excel
• Must excel in a fast paced, agile environment where critical thinking, strong technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required
• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering
• Current manual drivers' licence
• Forklift Licence
• Certificate IV Fluid Power (desirable)
• High level planning and organisational skills
• Strong communication, time management and organisation skills 
• Task and detailed focused, providing accuracy and high quality
Primary Responsibilities:
• Strip, rebuild or modify components for jobs
• Modification, rebuild and fabrication of drill components
• Testing to ensure accuracy of fit and fault finding
• Update job cards for parts used
• Report inadequate stock levels to your shop leading hand
• Daily tasks as required across all service areas
• Assemble kits according to company documentation
• Troubleshooting service issues and when necessary escalating issues to relevant technical area for resolution
• Provide assistance to team members when required
• Focus on quality and continuous improvement
• Guide and mentor Apprentice Fitters
• Focus on quality and continuous improvement
