About the job Van der Meer Consulting is a multi-disciplinary Structural, Civil, Hydraulic and Fire engineering consultancy with offices in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.
Our rapidly expanding company is currently seeking a suitably qualified Hydraulic/Fire BIM Modeller/Manager to join our Sydney office.
Education and Experience: The successful candidate will have the following: Minimum 5 years' experience in plumbing drafting/modelling essential.
Must hold formal training in CAD drafting and BIM modelling.
Understanding of basic plumbing and fire systems preferred.
Skills and Personal Attributes: Must have substantial experience with the following software packages: Auto CAD, REVIT, Microsoft Outlook, Bluebeam Revu.
Must have skills to setup BIM models.
Must be familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Must have skills to setup Sheets and Titleblocks.
Must have skills for printing large sets of drawings to soft or hard copy.
Must have skills in creating Hydraulic/Fire BIM families.
Must have skills in developing REVIT "Systems".
Must have skills in issuing and exporting models in both NWC and RVT formats.
Must have skills in clash-detection processes and resolution.
Preferred to have skills to setup CAD drawings using: Model Space/Paper Space, XREFs, UCS environments.
Must to have skills in creating CAD blocks, linetypes, plot styles, etc.
Must have excellent presentation and communication skills.
Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate and work with others within the office.
Must be eager to learn and be able to take instruction from managers.
Must demonstrate initiative and be a team player.
Ability to be in the office (St.
Leonards) 4 days per week and 1 day per week working from home (if desired).
