A well-established, residential and commercial engineering consultancy based in Brisbane is seeking a Hydraulic Design Technician to join its expanding team.
Responsible for undertaking drafting, and designing functional tasks/jobs balancing engineering, and commercial outcomes, whilst ensuring standards compliance and consistency.
Also, contributing to Drafting and Design knowledge management, development and transfer and drawing template management as directed.
This role includes, providing customer technical support as directed by the Hydraulics Design Manager.

Benefits Long-standing, with over 30+ years in the industryDiverse project and client types ensure an engaging and stimulating work environmentBureaucracy-free, mid-tier environmentWell-rounded workforce enables opportunity and room for growthFantastic team spirit and supportive work environmentGenerous salary package $75-$100k + superResponsibilities Proficiently demonstrate an ability to utilise engineering, drafting and design programs including AutoCAD, Kulba Cubed, Microsoft Excel, Roof-Gutter-design web app and WordPro as a critical core skill to deliver upon your daily job task allocation (including other approved design tools/spreadsheets and software).Adopt and apply STA design standards, design tools and processes with high levels of consistency and accuracy.Demonstrate an understanding and ability to read and interpret building plans and how the various sectional views relate to each other in a field/practical environment.Build up your knowledge of building hydraulics and apply these learnings routinely to the work tasks allocated to you.Prioritise and manage work tasks and contribute toward overall team output.Operate and complete tasks allocated within our DDS system and capture job details, times and progress as directed.Check own work and completed designs (as assigned) for accuracy and compliance with STA design standards, Australian Standards, NCC, Local Authority.Respond to customer and team phone/email enquiries in a timely manner.Contribute to drawing template updates as directed.Process new order requests via product selection process aligned with client needs, local authority requirements and thorough understanding of Hydraulics product offersSkills required 3 years of Building Hydraulics experience in the building and construction industry (preferably with residential focus).Other vocational experience specific to the role.
Drafting background / Design experience advantageous.
