Based at our branch in East Arm, we currently have an opportunity for a Factory Operator who will cover driver absences should they occur to join our team and assist in the servicing and expansion of our business. With a wide and varied client base our routes vary daily. Our role is a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic person who can work unsupervised and who is interested in a diverse range of duties with a mix of physical, driving, and customer service duties as part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:Ensure facility is maintained to a clean standard at all timesEmptying of Archive pallets and binsCleaning and repairing wheelie binsEnsure all stock is returned to the correct placeCheck loads are secureStack empty palletsMoving goods packed on pallets or crates around the facilityAssist in the unloading and reloading of local trucksLoading of export containers and semi-trailers to allowed load limitsOperation of shredding and bailing equipment in accordance with standardsCheck quality of incoming and outgoing materials and report any non-compliance to the supervisorLoading and unloading vehicles with servicing requirementsRemain compliant with all policies and procedures including WHSTo be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:Valid Medium Rigid (MR) Truck License with a good Driver History RecordHold a current Forklift licenceHave a positive and enthusiastic attitudeBe able to work autonomously and independentlyAbility to ensure that service meets quality objectivesStrong communication skills – written and verbalGood time managementAttention to detailBe aligned with our Values of Safe, Smart, Sustainable and ServiceWhat's in it for You?Birthday Vouchers and CelebrationsLearning and development opportunitiesGreat benefits including employee shopping discountsEmployee reward and recognition programCompany UniformEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) through Drake Works which covers mental health, nutrition, financial, legal, coaching and career transition supportShortlisted applicants will be required to:
