Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will be responsible for medium term scheduling, design and project work. You will lead a small team to drive safe and efficient mine design and scheduling within the 12-month forecast period. Your role will involve providing leadership to team members including coaching and mentoring, building and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders and providing technical support within the Technical Services team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Providing leadership and being a role model for safety on site. Mentoring and leading a team of engineers. Providing expertise and oversight to optimise mine design and scheduling. Reconciliation of mine design process and conformance to plan. Liaising with various stakeholders regarding short term design and scheduling. ROSTER AND LOCATION

Formal qualifications in Mining Engineering or related field. 5+ years of experience in mining operations, with a focus on mine design, scheduling, and strategic planning. Proficiency in mine planning software (Vulcan, Deswik) and scheduling tools (SPRY, Deswik). Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to assess opportunities and risks, and the ability to develop actionable insights.
