The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all HVAC and refrigeration units are operating efficiently and effectively, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs.
This role requires a strong understanding of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Safety is a top priority, and you must adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Additionally, you will be expected to keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used.

Responsibilities Maintain and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues.
Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
Replace defective parts and components.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used.
Communicate effectively with superiors to explain issues and solutions.
Work independently or as part of a team.
Perform emergency repairs as needed.
Test refrigeration systems for leaks and other issues.
Calibrate refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
Train and mentor engineers.
Collaborate with other departments as needed.
Ensure proper disposal of refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service.
Answer radio calls.
Complete all guest-related service requests within 30 minutes.
Complete all non-guest-related work order requests as scheduled in a professional and timely manner, taking care to clean up completely after work is done and/or request housekeeping support.
Assist with all duties in the Engineering Department including all aspects of mechanical repairs, electrical work, and painting.
Keep a detailed logbook.
Ongoing dedication to exceptional guest service, both to internal and external guests.
Ability to multi-task.
Complete requests in a timely, accurate, efficient, and knowledgeable manner.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
Proficiency in the above areas and a good foundation in all other areas.
Previous hotel experience is an asset.
