The Estate Service performs an effective maintenance service that provides a safe environment for high quality patient care. Contributing to creating Australia's leading health care environment by keeping the hospital buildings and equipment in a safe and usable condition that allows for their efficient utilization and overall effectiveness.
Working as part of the large maintenance team as the Mechanical Technician is a key member of a multi-disciplinary team that undertakes response and rectification maintenance works to achieve a high standard of performance within the Estates service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) & reactive repairs across a wide variety of Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) & refrigeration systems across the hospital.Proactively monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure plant are functioning optimally.Provide technical support and maintenance on a wide variety of mechanical plant including heat exchangers, cooling towers, pumps & motors, HVAC assets such as AHU, Variable Air Volume (VAV) & heat recovery systems.Maintain high standards of safety. Carry out risk assessments & job safety analysis for all tasks.Serco is a place for you.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
Extensive building services experience in large commercial building environments, health or aged care facilities, hotels, shopping centres, university campuses or similar environments.Be highly proficient using testing instruments, tools and equipment to perform asset commissioning and performance monitoring.Competent fault-finding Refrigeration assets & associated controls including cool rooms, water- & air-cooled condensers, split & DX systems, ice machines & clinical fridges.Knowledge and experience fault finding of HVAC control systems for commercial and residential buildings reviewing trends using BMS systems.A strong customer service focus with a commitment to resolving customer concerns through proactive communication.HVAC Trade Certificate ARCTICK licence including restricted electrical licence.For more information about the role, or to have a confidential discussion, please contact ****** or call on +61884322539.
