MPS Group based at Olympic Dam- South Australia is seeking an experienced High Voltage Supervisor to join our team in a permanent full-time role.
You will report to the Project Manager- Electrical and play a crucial role in estimating, planning, scheduling, overseeing the construction and installation, testing and commissioning of LV & HV electrical infrastructure.
Your leadership and expertise will be essential in ensuring the safety and productivity of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist with estimation of LV & HV installation costs based on the clients scope of works.
Source pricing and procure LV & HV material required for project based on scope of works.
Assist with establishing LV & HV inspection test plans.
Assist with planning and scheduling of LV & HV construction activities.
Oversee installation of LV & HV cables on surface and in underground mining environment.
Oversee construction of surface and underground substation according to scope of work.
Work with client in testing and commissioning of LV & HV infrastructure.
Compile daily reports on progress.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement high voltage system upgrades and modifications.
Update as-built drawings.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in high voltage systems and components.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards for high voltage work.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Experience:
High voltage cable jointing, laying, terminating, and repairing underground power cables.
Familiar with Raychem and Nexans termination and joint kits.
Strong familiarity with safety procedures and regulations pertaining to high voltage work.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical fitness and adaptability to work in various environmental conditions.
Willingness to work underground and on the surface.
Credentials:
High Voltage Switching Operator Accreditation - desirable Current CPR/LVR High risk EWP Current Unrestricted C Class Driver's License.
Construction Industry White Card This is a FIFO (ex ADL) opportunity working a 14/7 roster with camp accommodation.
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide/obtain a SA Police Clearance and must be willing to participate in a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
