What's so exciting about this role? As an Internal BDM, you play a key role in driving revenue and growth for the business, through follow up on both inbound and self-generated outbound leads. This role will suit someone who is not afraid to be pro-active and pick up the phone! This role requires a candidate who is self-driven and has strong time management skills to ensure leads are followed up and converted in a timely manner. Your approach to business development is professional and execution focused, with the ability to perform under pressure and strike a balance between customer needs and our business imperatives.
What Does An Average Day Look Like? No day isaverageathumm but here's an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:
Identify and generate leads for the acquisition of new retailers. Manage leads, both inbound and outbound, through the sales process (via CRM). Leverage industry research, existing networks, cold / warm calling, attending meetings, conducting presentations, and attending PD Days and Conferences. Meet with and obtain information for the purpose of prospecting and negotiating new deals. Prepare customer proposals and negotiate key commercial terms with proposed retailers. Work with Account Managers and Seller Success Team to ensure that deals are processed and integrated efficiently. Who will thrive in this role? Proven success in a new business development sales environment A strong track record of phone-based sales or strong retail background Experience dealing with financial products such as BNPL and long-term interest free products would be advantageous Strong time and lead management skills Experience following a Sales Process in a CRM preferred (Dynamics) Strong relationship builder; account management skills a bonus Amazing customer service ethos and great customer engagement Excellent communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with functional areas, marketing resources and influence key areas withinhummgroupto achieve the best outcomes If this sounds like you then apply now!
