This position is responsible for building relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and works collaboratively with the Practice and Inclusion Team leader to implement the Best Start Program. The 22.8 hours are flexible but ideally, Thursday will be a working day to meet business requirements.
What you'll be doing : Supporting and facilitating the Best Start Improvement teams to work towards continuous improvement to achieve outcomes for children in greatest need.Working in partnership with key stakeholders to provide a range of networking opportunities.Collaborating with the Practice and Inclusion Team Leader to collect and share local data with relevant stakeholders to inform decision making.Engaging and building relationships with key stakeholders to support learnings and identify opportunities for improvement.Support the Best Start monitoring and reporting framework.Contribute to the development and implementation of the Best Start Logic Model.Facilitate Improvement teams to apply the Model for Improvement as described in the 'Best Start Policy and Guidelines' and 'Best Start Improvement Approach Guide'.Support partner organisations to use an improvement approach within their services, including designing, planning and implementing change ideas for testing, and studying the results of the tests.Deliver the Plan, Do, Study, Act model to support the implementation of change ideas.Provide onsite support to partners participating in improvement teams to test change ideas and evaluate their effectiveness.The skills and experience you'll bring to the role : Relevant tertiary qualifications and recent, relevant experience in Early Years and/or family and children's services and/or community development settings OR lesser formal qualifications with recent, relevant experience or in the field of specialist expertise.Demonstrated understanding of how a community profile informs and shapes service delivery and planning approaches. Experience working in a culturally diverse community would be advantageous.Recent, relevant experience in design, implementation and evaluation of community development activities or early years sector including organisational partnerships and engagement with families and children particularly from isolated and marginalised communities.Proven skill and ability to collate, analyse, and present research in a comprehensive and accessible manner.Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to gain cooperation and to respectfully manage the expectations of a range of diverse stakeholders.Demonstrated analytical and conceptual and problem-solving skills.Victorian Drivers License.Why Hume City Council?
