HSP volunteers help clients adjust to a new country and community by providing essential support during the initial settlement period. Volunteers work in tandem with Red Cross caseworkers and Community Navigators to build confidence, self-sufficiency, and community connections for refugees.
The Opportunity HSP volunteers are friendly, accepting, and flexible individuals who are motivated to support the learning and comfortable settlement of newly arrived refugees. All areas within the program are supported by Red Cross caseworkers and Community Navigators.
Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support, and access to other opportunities within the world's largest humanitarian network.
The Impact HSP volunteers are a vital connection between refugees and their new communities. As part of the Humanitarian Settlement Program, you will contribute to creating a friendly and inclusive environment that will help refugees feel welcome. Your impact will be tangible, and you will see your contribution making a difference in someone's life.
