This is a full-time opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist to join the passionate team at the Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council. As the Human Resources Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Council's workforce and contributing to the delivery of essential community services.
What you'll be doing Provide expert HR advice on a wide range of HR matters Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding Ensure HR policies, procedures and practices are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations Administer payroll, leave, and other HR-related systems and processes Assist with the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives Partner with leaders to build capability, engage teams, and foster a positive workplace culture Maintain accurate HR records and provide detailed reporting as required What we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline 3+ years' experience as a HR Specialist or in a similar generalist HR role Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and HR policy development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships Proven ability to work collaboratively and provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice Confident user of HR information systems and data analysis tools Strong ethical principles and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality What we offer At the Bunbury-Harvey Regional Council, we are committed to supporting our employees' growth and wellbeing.
