The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance was formed on July 1, 2003 as a partnership between Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital. We share a common management structure with one CEO. We have a commitment to partnership and common Mission, Vision and Values. The Alliance Board consists of both hospital boards combined. The Listowel Memorial Hospital has been providing acute care and complex continuing care services to the residents of North Perth and the hospital's catchment area since 1919. Our fully accredited hospital offers a wide range of primary and secondary services including 24-hour emergency services, in-patient and out-patient care, specialist clinics and supportive diagnostic services. The Hospital has an active staff of 10 Family Practitioners as well as several consultant staff.

Description: Under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources (HR) Specialist is responsible for coordinating a number of the LWHA HR policies and programs. An incumbent may be assigned to one or several of the following program areas: employee and labour relations, training and development, recruitment & selection, orientation, benefits & compensation, recognition and retention, leaves administration and diversity equity, inclusion and anti-racism (DEIAR). The HR Specialist promotes effective working relationships with all stakeholders and aims to resolve issues or concerns in a timely manner applying appropriate legislation, policy or collective agreement as applicable in efforts to drive consistent quality services.
This is a temporary position that is anticipated to begin immediately and extend through October, 2025. The successful candidate will be available Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
