By integrating cultural respect with modern healthcare solutions, we strive to create an environment where heritage and health converge, fostering a sense of belonging and well-being for all.About the OpportunityWalhallow Aboriginal Corporation (WAC) is looking for a full-time HR Officer based in Quirindi or Tamworth, NSW. In this compliance-focused role, you will report to senior management and be responsible for supporting workforce compliance, policy development, and employee relations within a culturally rich organisation.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ensuring compliance with industrial relations and employment lawsSupporting recruitment, retention, and professional development processesManaging and maintaining workplace policies and proceduresHandling industrial relations and employee relations mattersOverseeing work cover processes and related complianceProviding HR advice and support to line managersDeveloping strategies for workforce effectiveness and policy updatesFostering positive employee relations and organisational cultureAbout YouTo qualify, you will need a Diploma or Certificate III/IV in Human Resources or a related field. A minimum of 4 years experience in a compliance-focused HR role will also be essential.Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:Solid understanding of industrial and employee relations laws and practicesExperience handling recruitment, retention, and professional developmentStrong knowledge of workplace policy development and implementationFamiliarity with managing work cover and compliance-related mattersDemonstrated ability to support diverse and culturally rich workforcesAs our ideal candidate, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a detail-oriented and proactive approach to your work.
