January start, fixed term until 30th June 2025 (possibility of extension) Hybrid working model - Perth CBD office, with 2-3 days WFH $92,098-$96,660 + super, dependent on experience (Level 4 CSA) Full time (37.5 hours/week), part-time arrangements also consideredIt's been a remarkable year of change at the State Solicitor's Office (SSO), and we're looking forward to building on that momentum as we move into 2025!
The SSO is the primary provider of legal services to the Western Australian Government, offering expert advice and representation on a wide range of public law matters.Since becoming a sub-department of the Department of Justice, our Corporate Services team has expanded, and our small but mighty HR team has been leading key workplace and employment initiatives that foster positive change and provide support to our growing workforce.
As we continue to build and implement our Diversity & Inclusion frameworks, we're now seeking a new team member to join us in this important work.
About the Opportunity: As the Human Resources Officer – Diversity & Inclusion, you'll contribute to the development and launch of key initiatives, including our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP), Multicultural Action Plan (MAP), and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
You'll have ample support and will play an integral role in driving awareness, educating staff, and championing D&I throughout the SSO, while fostering meaningful relationships and helping to shape an inclusive workplace culture.This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of our D&I strategy, ensuring our initiatives remain inclusive, impactful, and responsive to the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
What you'll be involved in:D&I Event Planning & Promotion – With support, plan, coordinate and promote 2025 D&I events, training, and strategy updates.
Draft communications that engage staff; raising awareness and celebrating significant dates and initiatives aligned with our strategic goals.Community Consultation & Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with internal committees, teams, and external communities to develop and implement D&I initiatives.
Conduct research to identify key suppliers, organisations, and resources that align with D&I objectives, ensuring relevance and impact across diverse stakeholder groups.Strategy Development & Administrative Support – Manage the D&I inbox, handle queries, provide general advice and guidance on D&I matters and support the development of strategies and action plans.Project Coordination & Implementation - Support the implementation and delivery of D&I initiatives, monitor and track progress, ensuring successful execution of key actions in line with strategy deliverables and timelinesData Analysis & Progress Reports - Analyse feedback, data, and trends to assess D&I progress.
Use insights to create actionable reports that demonstrate the impact of initiatives and inform future strategies.?
