Position Summary The Head of HR will play a crucial role in partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance HR outcomes within a blue-collar environment, focusing on talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership development, and workforce engagement. The manager will support the implementation of the HR strategic plan, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and drive effective safety practices while fostering a positive workplace culture. This role aims to align HR initiatives with the business's operational goals, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
This dynamic position is instrumental in reshaping the HR landscape into a more corporate framework, fostering the company's growth while maintaining a commitment to community support and long-term sustainability. Your responsibilities will extend to working collaboratively with various sites nationally, providing crucial support to our dedicated frontline employees and leaders.
The position demands the cultivation of robust relationships with governing unions, adept handling of internal and external IR/ER matters, and dedicated support for the day-to-day HR functions.

Flexible hours (neg) Key Responsibilities: Work as part of the HR team to deliver proactive HR initiatives across Perfection, including areas of cultural change, talent acquisition, retention, and leadership development. Effectively deliver end-to-end recruitment, including profiling, advertising, pre-screening, and offer. Assist in building and delivering learning and development programs. Support the development and delivery of onboarding and offboarding activities for all workers. Assist in the development and review of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring they are in line with legal requirements and industry best practices. Support the preparation of HR Board and Management reports as required. Provide guidance and support to key stakeholders on employee relation issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and advice on employee & industrial relations matters. Develop and implement strategies to foster positive employee relations and promote employee engagement to assist in ensuring a productive work environment. Develop relationships with key stakeholders to empower leaders in the areas of performance improvement, providing feedback and facilitating meaningful or courageous conversations. Assist in the development and delivery of the cultural change programs required to transform Perfection Fresh and set new industry benchmarks in the management of a culturally diverse and geographically spread workforce. Foster and promote a culture of workplace health, safety, quality, and positive employee engagement. Qualifications / Skills: Tertiary qualification in human resources, industrial relations, or equivalent. 10 plus years' experience as a human resources practitioner in agriculture, manufacturing, operations, or a related industry with high levels of industrial award/agreement application. Demonstrated experience in handling complex employee relation issues and conducting investigations. Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated capacity to successfully communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders across a broad group of different cultures. Demonstrated written, analytical, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders. Well-developed time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Champion ethical business practices and company policies.
