Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment) Full time This business is a global manufacturer and integrator of communications technology. They develop world first solutions to enable continuous communications across voice, data, and machine-to-machine technology for the most remote and rugged environments.
The company has a national footprint with offices in every major city across Australia, with Melbourne being the head office. They have a total headcount in Australia of between 60 and 70 staff and have built a stellar name in the industry as an employer of choice through excellent staff retention.
Position This is a new role to be established for Australia as the local HR Manager. Although there is a global HR team in the global head office, this position will take over all HR matters for Australia.
The key responsibility of the position will be to ensure the administrative, operational, and functional requirements of the company's HR strategies are managed effectively. Ensuring a high degree of quality and performance throughout all HR-related matters is essential for maintaining the existing positive, high-performing workplace culture.
You will take control over establishing local HR policies, recruitment and retention strategies, ensuring compliance with all Australian workplace legislation, and the continuous improvement of workplace culture.
The role will also oversee policy and compliance of health, safety, and environmental standards. In doing so, you will contribute to the implementation of health and safety and environmental management systems including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Candidate To be considered for the position, all candidates must have a tertiary degree in either Human Resources or an equivalent qualification. You must also have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a Human Resources position. Your experience could be from any industry and does NOT need to be from a related sector to this company.
You must be capable of working in a stand-alone HR management position, and ideally, you will have had some exposure, experience, or qualifications with occupational health and safety management standards.
You must be an excellent communicator, able to work with all levels of colleagues, and have a passion for continuous improvement and creating/maintaining a positive workplace culture.
