The Role:
As the Human Resources Manager, you will be managing the key functions of HR within the business from seasonal talent acquisition and performance management to employee engagement and compliance. You will report directly to the Managing Director and collaborate with the Senior Leadership team, playing a key role in designing and leading the HR function across the business. Your ability to improve HR systems, strategically solve problems, and handle multiple priorities will be key in taking our people and culture management to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and update our existing HR related policies. Refine and update our existing performance review structure including the development of a new review schedule. Manage our ad hoc recruitment needs according to budget and seasonal demands. Review and improve our onboarding process, including inductions. Manage planning and communications around employee performance and engagement. Provide seasoned advice on Fair Work, WorkSafe, culture and compliance matters. Ensure all employment contracts are current and align with agreed policies. Manage Return to Work and Work Cover processes (when needed). Manage HR digital platform (Bright HR/Safe) including content maintenance and implementing new tools (training can be provided). About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least 3 years of experience in a senior HR role. Proven experience in building HR systems and function within a medium-sized business (50+ employees). A strong understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009, NES, and other relevant compliance requirements. Expertise in recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, and policy improvement. Demonstrated EQ and interpersonal skills. Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral. Adept with ICT, including people management platforms. You will be offered:
