About the role This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced HR manager to apply your HR knowledge and experience and help us improve our end-to-end employee experience. Working in a small agency, our HR manager has the opportunity to lead both strategic and operational HR functions. In this role you will play a key role in designing and implementing better practice HR systems and processes for the ATSB. You will play a critical role in supporting our employees, driving HR initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. We are looking for an HR professional with diverse HR experience to join our small, flexible, friendly and supportive team. Role responsibilities In this role, you will: Design and implement strategies and operational initiatives to enhance our employee experience and workplace culture Work to continuously improve the end-to-end HR function, including recruitment, payroll, workplace relations, performance, diversity and inclusion, WHS and separations Build and manage productive and effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including contracted services with our payroll provider Implement the organisation's new Enterprise Agreement, provide advice and support to managers and employees, and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations Draft briefing papers, correspondence, reports, presentations and other communications as required to support organisational reporting and compliance Apply a knowledge of relevant legislation including, but not limited to the Public Service Act 1999, Fair Work Act 2009, Long Service Leave Act 1976, Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 Maintain timely, consistent, and accurate records. What you'll need to succeed A strong focus on people and creating a positive workplace culture Well developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures Previous experience working across various HR functions.
