About Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation (WAC) is committed to delivering culturally sensitive healthcare services to the Quirindi, Walhallow, and Coledale communities.
Our comprehensive offerings include general practice clinics, health screenings, work development programmes, Aboriginal disability liaison support, and coordination of visiting services.

About the Opportunity Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation (WAC) is looking for a full-time HR Officer based in Quirindi or Tamworth, NSW.
In this compliance-focused role, you will report to senior management and be responsible for supporting workforce compliance, policy development, and employee relations within a culturally rich organisation.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring compliance with industrial relations and employment laws Supporting recruitment, retention, and professional development processes Managing and maintaining workplace policies and procedures Handling industrial relations and employee relations matters Overseeing work cover processes and related compliance Providing HR advice and support to line managers Developing strategies for workforce effectiveness and policy updates Fostering positive employee relations and organisational culture About You To qualify, you will need a Diploma or Certificate III/IV in Human Resources or a related field.
A minimum of 4 years experience in a compliance-focused HR role will also be essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued: Solid understanding of industrial and employee relations laws and practices Experience handling recruitment, retention, and professional development Strong knowledge of workplace policy development and implementation Familiarity with managing work cover and compliance-related matters Demonstrated ability to support diverse and culturally rich workforces As our ideal candidate, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a detail-oriented and proactive approach to your work.
