This role involves overseeing employee relations, recruitment, compliance, policy development, and board support.
This role will be a 12 months fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities: Human Resources: Recruitment and Onboarding: Administer the recruitment and onboarding process to attract and retain high-quality talent.Policy Development: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and best practices.Employee Relations: Collaborate with managers to manage employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts fairly and consistently.Training and Development: Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.Performance Management: Conduct performance management processes, including goal setting and professional development planning.Governance: Board Support: Coordinate, prepare, and distribute board meeting agendas, minutes, and documentation.Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including corporate governance standards.Policy Maintenance: Maintain and update the organisation's governance policies, procedures, and Constitution.Compliance and Risk Management: Legal Adherence: Ensure adherence to employment laws, regulations, and organisational policies.Audits and Risk Management: Conduct regular audits and support the development and implementation of risk management strategies.Skills and Experience: Background in executive support for senior leadership with strong skills in the MS Office suite.Experience with Xero is highly desirable.Exceptional relationship and communication skills with a high level of discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters.Strong business acumen with the ability to make sound judgments.Demonstrated experience in an administrative role or related field; payroll experience is highly regarded.Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable.How to Apply: If you are passionate about supporting first responders and their families and meet the above criteria, we would love to hear from you.
