As the Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for providing support across the functional area of Human Resources for both the VESTA and OASIS programs taking on complex HR challenges. You will provide support and advice to people managers on compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), and employee development.
The position ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations in Australia and the United States.
Responsibilities/Duties Serve as an internal resource to solve challenging problems across the core functional areas of human resource management. Develop and/or recommend new policies, practices, and programs to meet management and employee needs. Maintain knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, and state and federal labour laws applicable to assigned areas of responsibility. Perform general administrative duties to support the HR team. Responsible for processing personnel actions, issuing notifications and updating required customer systems, to include SAP. Perform HR functions that require discretion and independent judgement, prepare recommendations for assigned projects as required. Provide administrative support to both US and Australian employees, including in areas such as benefits enrolment and superannuation enrolment. Contribute to the maintenance and implementation of HR policies, training programs, procedures and related activities. Maintain accurate data entry in the Australian and US HRIS, provide system support to managers and employees as required. Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliance within the workplace. Any other reasonable duties as requested. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Essential Certificate IV – Human Resources - Field: Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. TICKETS AND LICENCES Minimum Essential Drivers License. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – Minimum Essential Minimum Essential At least 2 years Human Resources experience, ideally in a business partnering role. Well developed relationship building skills across all levels of a business. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with varied stakeholders. Experience with MS Office operating system and human resource information systems. Experience in records management and associated systems.
