Details of the offer

Coordinate a range of HR activities, including HR administration, records keeping, HR systems administration and contribute to the review of HR policies and process improvements. The role also provides first level HR support to all levels of the agency and escalates the query as required. The role is temporary until 31 December 2025

Running elections.
Communicating and engaging with the public and our stakeholders; and
Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral laws such as the Electoral Act 2017 and the Electoral Funding Act 2018

Essential requirements
As the successful candidate, you will have:

Relevant tertiary degree or previous Human Resources work experience in government or in a similar role
Working knowledge of interpreting employment awards, conditions of employment and relevant legislation.
Experience in administering HR systems and great attention to detail
Experience working in a small to medium organisation and exposure to project management framework.
Politically neutral with no current or past affiliation to political parties or lobbyist/campaigners.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check Result.

Provide an example of changes you have introduced to ensure that internal customers receive the solution and service that best meet their needs. What was key to your success? (maximum 300 words)

You should include a covering letter summarising your skills, knowledge and work experience, along with an up-to-date resume which clearly detail your skills and experience as relevant to this role. Your employment will be subject to National Criminal Records Check to determine your suitability for employment. A talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for ongoing and temporary roles of the same work classification that may become available for filling over the next 18 months.
