This opportunity is initially for a secondment or fixed term contract from March to October 2025 to cover maternity leave.

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic human resources practitioner who understands the WA public sector employment framework and is seeking to expand their experiences across all facets of human resources.
Whilst our payroll is provided through a shared service arrangement, our small team bats well above the average, delivering human resources advice and consultancy across the entire employee lifecycle to a workforce of approximately 160, incorporating Executive/Management, scientists, laboratory technicians and corporate support staff.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the development, coordination and promotion of strategic workforce initiatives and projects.
This position is a full-time or part-time temporary vacancy for seven (7) months, with the possibility for extension(s) and/or permanency, subject to funding.
Suitable applicants may be considered for like positions within 12 months from the date of finalisation of the selection process.
The position is located at Curtin University, Building 500, Resources and Chemistry Precinct, Manning Road, Bentley.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a fixed-term appointment, it is essential to have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
To be eligible for a permanent position, Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential.
Prior to commencement, applicants must have a current National Police Clearance and pass a Fit for Work (drug and alcohol) test.
