We are seeking a skilled HR Specialist to join our council on a 3-month contract. Your main responsibility will be to provide accurate and timely HR advice and consultancy services to Council leaders and staff.
As a hands-on HR generalist, you will be involved in various HR activities, including industrial relations, employee relations, organisation change and development, work design, performance management, recruitment, HR administration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive recruitment strategies aligned with the People Strategy and contribute to business strategies.
Provide analytics and guidance for workforce planning strategies.
Support and advise People Business Partners and leaders on HR processes.
Collaborate with recruiting officers to deliver end-to-end recruitment services.
Research, develop, and implement HR projects and initiatives.
Coach managers and leaders on performance excellence, change management, and recruitment.
Review, develop, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
Monitor HR metrics and generate reports using HRIS.
Requirements:
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Extensive knowledge of employment and industrial laws.
In-depth understanding and experience in contemporary HR practices.
Proficiency in managing dispute resolution processes.
Competency in competency-based performance management practices.
Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
Proficient in MS Office suite and database systems.
