About the Role: Reporting to the National Manager – People Partnerships and working closely with the National HR & Safety team, the People Business Partner will provide strategic and hands-on HR support to drive the delivery of the organisation's Strategy and HR & Safety Business Plan. This role is key in fostering innovation across all areas of people management. You'll offer expert guidance on HR policies, employment legislation, and risk management, while coaching managers through people management, industrial relations, organisational change, and workforce planning to ensure optimal use of labour resources.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with HSEQ Business Partners, Health & Wellbeing Managers, and L&D BPs to deliver comprehensive HR, Safety, and Training support;Provide strategic and operational HR guidance on policies, employment legislation, recruitment, change management, and risk analysis;Collaborate with other Business Partners (HR, L&D, Remuneration, HSEQ, etc.) to share best practices, ensure consistency, and provide coverage when needed;Serve as the subject matter expert for industrial and employee relations, delivering high-quality advice and support to the business unit;Lead industrial relations negotiations in consultation with the GM People Partnerships;Offer day-to-day performance management support to managers (coaching, career development, disciplinary actions) to drive positive changes and performance improvement;Contribute to the development and implementation of policies related to industrial and employee relations;Lead and coach others to develop innovative service delivery methods, driving engagement and ownership;Champion a Safety-First culture throughout the organisation and with clients;Provide leadership to the HR team, promoting alignment with objectives and demonstrating effective leadership behaviours;Drive cultural change and continuous improvement within HR, ensuring a high-quality, professional, and consistent service. Collaborate effectively, understand stakeholder needs, and innovate to enhance service delivery and customer experience.About You: You bring significant experience as a Human Resources generalist or business partner, with a proven track record in providing strategic HR support. You have a deep understanding of industrial relations, backed by strong knowledge of employee relations theory, principles, and practices. You hold a degree in business or a related field and are comfortable with regular travel as part of your role. Your expertise in both HR and industrial relations enables you to navigate complex challenges, offering sound advice and driving positive outcomes for the business.
