At Cornerstone Consulting Group, we're taking a fresh approach to supporting businesses with their most important asset, their people. For most SMEs, it doesn't make sense for them to hire a dedicated HR resource and unfortunately, People and Culture can become somewhat of an afterthought. 
This is where we come in. Our clients are mostly private small and medium businesses (10-100 staff) and are generally not large corporates. This means that every day is different, and this is quite possibly one of the most rewarding, interesting and challenging HR roles you could hope for! We provide our clients with practical, down to earth HR support and advice and they love our approach.
Rather than traditional hourly billables, we work with all of our clients under a long-term, ongoing relationship which ensures we can really become part of their team. 
This role is based in our office in Parkside (not remote) and you'll also visit our clients across Adelaide and provide on-site support from time to time.  We're open to both part-time and full-time candidates and given the time of the year, can discuss a January start if preferable.  A day in the life includes: Being a trusted advisor to our clients, providing HR advice via phone, email and face to faceCreating a range of customised HR documents for clients as required including contracts, position descriptions, policies, letters, performance improvement plans etcWorking closely with business leaders, getting to know their business inside-out and developing tailored HR solutions that align with their goals and valuesWorking on recruitment projects for our clientsEnsuring our clients are compliant with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and Modern Awards applying to their business and industryHelping our clients navigate performance management, conflict resolution, terminations and restructures Being the HR Business Partner our clients didn't know they needed but now can't go without In order for us to think you could be the perfect fit, you will be able to hit the ground running and demonstrate:Hands-on experience as a HR Business Partner/Advisor (or similar) and understand the people and operational issues that businesses faceAbility to confidently interact with all levels (C-level through to frontline manager)A down to earth, practical and direct nature with great influencing skillsA strong work ethic and ability to think on your feetExceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship building skillsPrevious experience in working autonomously to provide accurate guidance on difficult workplace mattersAbility to have the tough conversations when requiredA current driver's license and reliable carA desire to be part of an awesome, welcoming and supportive team You might be wondering what's in it for you:A friendly and positive work environment with a team who cares about our clients and about youVaried and exciting role where each day is different, and exposure to a broad range of issues and opportunities The ability to work across different clients in a range of interesting industriesBirthday leave, volunteer leave, wellbeing leave, wellbeing allowance, paid flu vaccineTeam lunches, plenty of cheeseboards and the occasional wine!A team that understands that life happens and flexibility as requiredEasy parking and surrounded by cafes (hello Jenny's Bakery!)  Our core values:It's all about people: Relationships are everything.
