Your new role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be crucial in managing key operational and HR processes, driving workflows to successful completion, and as a result having a positive impact on the lives of people with a disability, our staff, and business.
This role requires someone who likes their sleeves rolled up, is detail-oriented, and proactive to ensure that all tasks are handled with care and completed on time. You will liaise with multiple teams to ensure that critical processes run smoothly, enhancing the quality of service delivery.
In addition to working with Songbird, you will also provide support to our sister company, Eagleton Ridge Disability Services in some operational areas.
You will
Lead end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, interviews, reference checks and facilitating onboarding and induction. Oversee payroll inbox triage. Maintain organisational charts, job descriptions, vehicle maintenance, and office supplies management. Support roster management, ensuring vacant shifts are filled promptly. Schedule and track staff training, maintaining accurate training records. Liaise with external HR and stakeholders as required. What you'll need to succeed
Required:
Full NSW Driver's Licence. NDIS Workers Clearance. Strong understanding of your responsibilities within the NDIS framework. 1-3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating attention to detail, collaboration, and communication. Ideal:
Formal qualifications in HR or equivalent work experience, with 3+ years in an HR role. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field. Experience within the disability sector, particularly as a Support Worker. Proficiency with Human Resource Management Systems (e.g., Employment Hero).
